About Lime Electrical

01
Who is Lime Electrical Contractors?

Lime Electrical Contractors Ltd is a Guildford electrical firm run by Greg, based at Lime Grove in Guildford. We're fully approved on both NICEIC schemes — domestic and commercial — and rated 5.0 across 73 Google reviews.

Do you cover both homes and businesses?

Yes. We're approved on the NICEIC domestic scheme and the commercial scheme, so the same firm handles a family rewire, a landlord's EICR, and the power supplies for a commercial air-conditioning install. Homeowners, landlords, nurseries, retail units and installers all use us.

What area do you cover?

We're based in Guildford and work across London, Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex — including Woking, Godalming, Farnham, Cranleigh, Haslemere and Aldershot. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask.

Booking & on the day

02
How do I arrange a job?

Call, text or email Greg directly on 07887 427 743 or greg@limeelectricalcontractors.com. Our customers often text Greg to arrange everything — it's usually the quickest way to sort dates and get a quote.

Will I have to wait in all day?

No. We agree a day and a rough time when we book, and we turn up when we say we will — punctuality is the thing customers mention most in their reviews. We're also flexible around your availability, including nurseries and businesses that can't simply shut down.

Who actually comes to do the work?

You arrange the job with Greg, and one of the Lime team carries it out — for example, a customer texted Greg and Sam came to fit the extractor fan. Whoever attends works to the same NICEIC standard.

What are your hours?

We work Monday to Saturday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, and are closed on Sundays.

Will you make a mess?

We clean up properly after every job — “no mess” and “cleaned up nicely afterwards” come up again and again in our reviews. We treat your home or premises as we'd want ours treated.

Credentials & standards

03
What does NICEIC approved actually mean for me?

NICEIC assess our work against the national safety standard (BS 7671) and the Building Regulations. Because we're on the approved domestic scheme, we can self-certify notifiable work in your home to Part P — so you don't pay a separate building-control inspection fee. Being on the commercial scheme too means the same standard applies to business premises.

Why does being on both schemes matter?

Many local electricians hold only the domestic approval. Being fully approved on both the domestic and commercial NICEIC schemes is above average — it means one contractor can legitimately cover your house, your rental and your business premises to the same certified standard.

Is your work certified?

Yes. Depending on the job you'll receive a minor works certificate, an installation certificate, or an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). These are your proof the work meets current regulations.

Services & certificates

04
Do you carry out EICRs for landlords?

Yes. We carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports for landlords meeting their legal obligations and for homeowners who want peace of mind, and we explain any findings clearly rather than burying them in jargon.

Can you install an EV charger?

Yes — we handle EV charging points from survey through to certification, including cable routing and the connection back to your consumer unit, all by the same approved contractor who quotes the job.

Do you provide power supplies for air conditioning?

Yes. We regularly provide the power supplies and isolation for domestic and commercial air-conditioning systems, coordinating with the AC installers so the whole job runs smoothly.

Quotes & getting in touch

05
How do I get a quote?

Send Greg the details — call, text, WhatsApp a photo of the job, or use the contact form. Clear, easy communication is something customers highlight, and it starts with a clear quote before any work begins.

How quickly will you get back to me?

We aim to respond to enquiries as quickly as we can during working hours (Mon–Sat, 7am–5pm). For anything you need sorted urgently, calling is always fastest.
